i never got past the first level without cheatcodes :P awsome pictures tho! :D

im saying this out of shear not-knowing-ness, but whats the units when you say 12x16 :?
:iconmakisstyle:
oh ok im not smart enough to figure it out -_-
:icongfball84887:
I can understand. A lot of the other pixel representation art has been done on canvas and at a much larger size.
:iconbakkeby:
How do you get the pixel size to be so fairly even?
:icongfball84887:
First I draw a grid with the pixel size I want for the image. then I paint each square or group of squares of the same color with a detail brush. Since the grid is even the pixels are also evenish. But painting isn't an exact science and some pixels are a little off.

looks great except it's too bad you get those rough parts and imperfections where the paint isn't smooth. The variance in shading is spot-on though.

Thx! Yeah sadly that is an effect of using smooth gesso'd board. As of my last painting I've converted to canvas and in the future expect to see much cleaner paintings.

WHA? Only the first level? WHAT'S WRONG WITHCHU??? The second one is the BEST. That's pretty amazing you did it with all the antialiasing and stuff just like the game. They had awesum graphics.
